Accumulate information needed for set up prior to training day, start at 9am work through set up and spend remainder of the day working through months of data entry.  Allows for questions and best practice discussions.

Tuition $1000 per 8 hour day plus travel costs. Participant has option to meet at my location.

One day course to assist with set up your farm financial data on the Quickbooks program.  You will be able to run financial reports on cash and accrual basis, file GST returns from information compiled and provide a cash income and expense report for tax filing.

Prior to meeting, I will obtain required information to get books set up to ensure that we have everything for the training day.  Start at 9am at your location (or mine if you have a portable computer) and work through the set up procedures.  Once set up complete spend the rest of the day entering your data in hopes of getting a couple of months completed so that you will learn how program works and have me available to ask questions to and provide beste practice methods.

One day training (max 8 hours), includes preparation time and review of current data.  Mileage to farm will be charged, or participant has option to travel to my location.

Any person who is planning to take over a farm or is currently managing a farm. Applicants must be over the age of 18.

The Step Up program matches mentors with mentees to work on-farm for a minimum of 8 weeks.

STEP UP is an on-farm paid work placement that matches experienced farm managers with young people just starting or interested in a farming career. Mentoring is a great way to help the next generation of farmers. One day Seminar course

Classroom/seminar presentation.  Includes speaker and powerpoint presentation allowing for interactive question times and activities to get participants thinking about what structure will work for their operation.

Tuition and meal provided for a cost of $200 includes workbook and any materials that are required. 

Mostly held during the winter months for producers as summer events not well attending due to busy lifestyle of producers

Present participants with a number of structures available to them to operate their farm in under current tax rules and help them decide which will work for them based on the benefits and costs of each.  Can be very useful in transition and succession planning.

Intro to Water Gardens Learn all about the different options available to you, including pumps, filters, ultraviolet lights, liners, etc. You will understand the nitrogen cycle and how it pertains to aquatic life in your newly transformed yard. Bring all your questions and leave as a confident and informed consumer.

High school-level students.

High school level program in maple syrup production and operation management designed around 16 courses totaling 1005 hours of class time.

2 dags plus a subsequent two-hour conference call

10am until 4pm each day.
