The student acquires the skills and attitudes necessary to work in the maritime fishing industry in all seasons. This includes such tasks as choosing the best fishing area, managing a group of fishermen, administration, operating a fishing boat, the repair and installation of fishing nets, fishing lines, trawls, and racks, the preservation of onboard fish, the operation and maintenance of the engines, fire protection measures, and the preventive maintenace of the boat.
