Alfred College offers a Diploma in Agriculture that has been designed to develop qualified technicians to work in agricultural and agricultural related enterprises. Graduates will have the required knowledge and skills for consulting and business management. The program is conducted for a minimum of two years, based on a solid understanding of agriculture and management, by completing a variety of optional courses that lead to obtaining a specialization certificate. Theoretical and practical courses give the students the necessary tools to face any changes that may occur in the industry. At the end of the second semester, students have the option to participate in a placement within the agricultural sector, or within an agricultural-related sector. It is possible to apply to this program part-time or to apply for one particular course. Specializations that are offered within the Diploma of Agriculture:? Rural Engineering? Large-scale Production? Animal Production? Dairy Production? Horticultural Production? Organic AgricultureAll specializations require a work placement related to that field of study.
