Business Process Management (14 hours) Available starting January 1st, 2016 Southeast College Campus' Business Process Management is an overview of the widely-accepted best practices for business process management. Through the study of the nine Knowledge Areas recommended by the Association of Business Process Management Professionals (ABPMP) together with the associated activities and tasks, you will become familiar with business process management language, tools, and techniques commonly used by organizations around the globe. Business process management is a critical competency needed by today’s organizations for sustained competitiveness and to efficiently and effectively meet customer requirements and achieve corporate objectives. This course will introduce the fundamental concepts and principles of process management and provide you with hands-on experience using tools and techniques that can be immediately applied in the workplace. You will learn what true process optimization involves by investigating process modeling and analysis, process improvement and process monitoring and control.

Module 4: Characteristics of Process-Centric Organizations •Describe a process-centric organization. •Distinguish the process roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities needed within a process-centric organization. •Outline the organizational structure and governance needed within a process-centric organization. •Summarize the best practices for successful enterprise-wide process management.
