Duration:
Duration of training is dependant on the needs of the client to a maximum of 40 hours. These 40 hours can be spread out over a period of 3 months.
Agenda:
- Discussion of filing and record keeping methods
- Create a datafile based on setup information provided by client
- Process withdrawal, deposit, payable, receivable and inventory transactions
- Client will be trained in Payroll if required in their business operation
- Process reports required for filing of government required remissions such as GST and AgriStability
- Reconciliations of bank, credit cards and loans
Review the reports that can be generated by AgExpert and discuss their importance and usefulness in the decision making process
Review year end process and functions to ensure that financial information presented for tax filing is accurate and complete
Cost:
Mileage will be charged at .50 / km and accomodation and meal charges will be the responsibility of the client

This course is designed to assist producers in developing record keeping skills that will enable them to make management decisions based on accurate and timely data. Producers will become comfortable with the day to day duties of bookkeeping and gain an understanding of accrual and cash accounting. The producer will learn what is necessary for GST, AgriStability and Tax Filing requirements.
